Find a Doctor and Other Health Care Options

 

Ontario

Health Care Connect

Health Care Connect helps Ontarians who are without a family health care provider (family doctor or nurse practitioner) to find one. People without a family health care provider are referred to a family doctor or a nurse practitioner who is accepting new patients in their community.

 

College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario

The public register of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario includes a wide variety of information, such as each doctor’s name, practice address, and telephone number. These are also the names of doctors who have advised the college that they are accepting new patients. The public register can be accessed anytime by visiting the website.

 

Health Care Options

Health Care Options Medical Services Directory is a user-friendly searchable database of walk-in and after-hours clinics, urgent care centres, and family health care providers. By entering your postal code you can find out the hours and services available in your community.

 

Telehealth Ontario

Telehealth Ontario is a free, confidential telephone service you can call to get health advice or information from a Registered Nurse. A Registered Nurse can help you decide whether to care for yourself, make an appointment with your doctor, go to a clinic, contact a community service, or go to a hospital emergency room. To speak to a Telehealth Ontario nurse, call 1-866-797-0000 or TTY 1-866-797-0007. You do not need to provide your health insurance number and all information is confidential.

 

Alberta

 

College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta

The website of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta includes a wide variety of information, such as each doctor’s name, practice address, and telephone number. These are the names of doctors who have advised the college that they are accepting new patients.

 

Quebec
