Chrysler Canada Inc. (CCI) and the CAW are committed to help improve the health and well-being of our employees, retirees and their families through our joint Working Toward Wellness at CCI program.
In March 2002, the program had its formal kick-off. Since then, fifteen committees have been established at CCI locations across the country. These committees, which are coordinated by the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, are comprised of management, union, safety, medical, administration and other interested employees and retirees.
This program is the first in Canada where private and public resources are combined to deliver a Wellness program of this magnitude. The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is our main partner, as it works with CCI and the CAW to research, develop and coordinate the delivery of the Wellness program.
The Working Toward Wellness at CCI program is comprehensive in nature, incorporating a variety of approaches, such as: brochures and newsletters on current wellness topics; on-site education days using local health professionals; individual assessments and testing; and self-help programs.
