The Brampton Assembly Plant’s wellness committee organized a Health and Wellness Fair on June 10. There were plenty of interactive displays from local community agencies. Lots of interested employees stopped by to learn more about their health. Ninety-one employees participated in the blood glucose, blood pressure and total cholesterol screening with slightly more than half recommended to follow-up with their family physician.
The committee is very interested in their co-workers opinions and would like to have more involvement in wellness activities. The committee is asking for feedback with a survey that will be distributed through team leaders this summer. Watch for it!
Two fl u shot clinics were offered on-site. A total of 109 employees participated: 76 received both shots, 23 received the seasonal flu shot, and 10 received the H1N1 fl u shot only.
